  • 5mm DarkSide Connect LED - Help

For the 5mm DarkSide Connect Modular LED, can I connect it directly to the 2-pin temp sensors on an Aquaero? Or do I need to buy one of the adapters, either 3 or 4-pin and connect to the Aquaero fan header?

Not sure how or if it would work plugging into a temp sensor.
The 3 pin fan header would work but there is a real need to be careful you don't plug it into a 12-volt power source as that will fry your led.
I usually just run any 5v lights off a 5v side of the Molex connector.

      Hi Hooded,

Thanks for the update! I'll have to turn the Aquaero header to voltage mode and set it to a static 5v as you mentioned. For some reason, I thought I could just plug it into the temp sensor pins and it would work. Guess not, lol.

No LEd is not sensor and won't be reporting any temerature or lit up from sensor connector.
You can connect it omly to Fan header that supplies power to LED.
