For the 5mm DarkSide Connect Modular LED, can I connect it directly to the 2-pin temp sensors on an Aquaero? Or do I need to buy one of the adapters, either 3 or 4-pin and connect to the Aquaero fan header?

Not sure how or if it would work plugging into a temp sensor.
The 3 pin fan header would work but there is a real need to be careful you don't plug it into a 12-volt power source as that will fry your led.
I usually just run any 5v lights off a 5v side of the Molex connector.Blue Dragon CM690 II an i7 - 960 x58 build

No LEd is not sensor and won't be reporting any temerature or lit up from sensor connector.
You can connect it omly to Fan header that supplies power to LED.__________________________________________________
