  • D5 PWM / Alternatives / Questions

    Hi all,

I have a D5 Strong which has been running well for 4-5 years now.

I find it noisy sometimes, so I hooked it up to a DC voltage regulator to control the voltage/speed and therefore noise of the pump. Better, but still noisy sometimes.

I am looking for a pump replacement, that would work with my reservoir shown below. I like the idea of knowing when am missing fluid, and being able to refill as needed.

Which PWM pump would be a direct fit? Any other reliable but less noisy pumps you can recommend?

For example, would this pump fit directly into my reservoir: https://www.dazmode.com/shop/waterco...motor-sleeved/

Thanks for your reply. Are you sure the EK D5 fits the back of the first image in the first post?

Yes, any D5 would work, even with the EK label on it.

          Thanks for confirming.

Do you recommend anything else in terms of reliability/noise?
