  • WTB: 8700k/8086k/9700k,blower 1060 6GB GPU

I'm looking for a great deal on an unlocked 8th or 9th gen intel CPU, plus specifically looking for an 8086k. Price wise, I saw an 8086k recently on HWC BNIB for an asking price of $450 shipped, and six months ago I paid $400 shipped for a BNIB 8700k.

I have an old Alienware X51 that I'd like to breath some new life into. The best price/performance that would work in that tiny case would be a blower style (not the mini or multi fan cards) GTX 1060 6GB with 6 pin power. I see these going cheap on ebay, but I'm more inclined to trust a forum member here. Prefer with box/receipt/not mined or overclocked, but I might have an open mind if the price including shipping is low.

I have a few items I could trade if the shipping makes sense or you are local (I'm near Halifax):

Lamptron FC Touch fan controller, with original box.

D-Link DGL-4500 Gaming router, wireless N and wired gigabit, can prioritize packets for gaming. Not sure if I have the box, I'll have to look.

I think I'll have to pass. Really not a fan of mATX, and wouldn't be interested in your ram.

            Thanks though!

Found a 390X on ebay. Paid a little more than I did for the one I got locally ($300 all in vs $240) but it is an exact match, another XFX R9 390X 8GB. One of the things I like about these is that they already have heatsinks on the ram and VRMs. So I will remove the fans/heatpipes and install a couple of old Swiftech GPU only water blocks.

Now looking for some Feser 1/2 ID fittings and some splitters to set up the 390x's in parallel. Worst case I suppose I have enough BP fittings to swap out all the Feser, and I could then order a couple of matching splitters from Daz. But I'll see if any of you have these sitting around first, as I am lazy and don't want to replace every fitting in the loop! Plus I like the nickel...

I'll swap around some fittings that I have, since it seems like I won't find addtional matching ones, and order a couple of splitters from Daz.
