MemBusX, thanks! the camera work is always the perk of doing builds. I have my trusty Nikon D700 and an iPhone 6 to light it with a flashlight lol

Thought I would put a post of the camera gear i use to take my shots. I would really love to see other peoples setups like backdrops and lighting etc if they do more with lighting. It's something i'm looking to get better at.

Not sure how to tutorial the shots I do but i can show you behind the curtain of what my work space and images come from. Taking the magic away from my images by showing you how small my space is feels embarrassing lol. Right now for this build I'm taking all shots on top of the InWin 303 Case with a Black sheet of Foam Core picked up at the Dollar Store. I buy about 5 sheets of both black and White and replace them as they get dented or beat up. Super Cheap. Then I use my iPhone flashlight in my left hand to shine the light on my products while holding my camera in my right hand, looking for the right shot. Next i go into Adobe Lightroom CC and just do some basic editing. I don't use Photoshop for product shots, only for baner's etc. Here are two quick images taken on my iPhone. one of the Foam Core Black background on the 303 case and one of my work space. To the left of my work space is all my kids toys. I have such a small area lol.

If you have any questions let me know and i'll see if I can explain or help out!
if you want to see more of my style of photography you can find it at my website if I'm allowed to post it here it's http://www.jdlphotography.ca/

                Cheers

Also, here's the setup for the Green Cryo Banner I did for this build. two iphones, My wifes and mine, and a lamp under a sheet of frosted acrylic. The waterbottle was frozen water and then melted 1/2 way. thought it was a pretty cool effect.
