      Testing Hardware/Case layout stage

I put my old system in the new case to try and get a feel for what I wanted to mod/change with the 900D

          Modding time.

          - Removed the top drive bay
          - Installed custom mounting plate for Reservoir
          - Quad rad was a hair too long after fittings to had to grind down the chassis just to fit those in
          - Not in pictures but I had to move the front fans up, and they now sit where the drives used to be, that will be shown in other pictures later

Looks nice, nice components. I like black and white builds (did one myself). That case is a monster, the side by side shot really shows it.

Lots of raddage! (hopefully Father Fuzzy doesn't sue me for copyright infrigement lol)

Welcome and good luck! Looking forward to the end result.

These are a few of the mods I made, nothing too intense but gives it a bit of a custom feel.

Custom plate for reservoir mount where the drive bays used to me. Also moved the top fan here, used to be on the bottom but the bottom Rad is now in the way. Also added a custom intake for this fan with a dust filter, can see it better in other pictures.

Continued to add a bit more color with painted AF140 fan ring and PCI brackets

Here you can kind of see the acrylic panel I made for the bottom, eventually I want to make it all the way across but ran out of time.
Also painted the fans rings on the 4 SP120's below.

Deciced to upgrade to the Corsaid AX1500i. Lots of room down below. Looks messy but just showing how much room this case actually has down below.

View of the top Rad, ran out of funds to complete the Corsair fans so stuck with 3 Arctic cooling fans, seems to do a good job.

I would like to start out by saying thanks to Daz and the sponsors for hosting this event, and good luck to the rest of the entries.

I had big dreams for this project but ran out of time/money to go as far as I wanted to. That said I was able to at least get it to 90% of where I wanted. I have some future mods I want to do, such as finish the custom cables, new glass side panel, new tubing(ran out of tubes so that's why the bends are all crap), and finish up swapping the Corsair fans.

I spent a lot of time stabalizing the system before finishing up the mods and that kind of got away from me so had to rush and finish this and take some shots. It's been really fun and rewarding looking back and now I can sit with pride as I sometimes just stare at the Beast and think that I can be happy with what I've accomplished.

It's not the most glamorous build but it's mine and that's all that matters.

Thanks for checking out the build blog and hope to be back next year!
