    Wings are printed !

If anyone cares to zoom in you can see they were a 1D 3H print , these longer prints are new to me pretty fun though.

next step, clean it all up and start sticking pieces together! We got a ship to build !!

Looks a little weird in this phase but I have faith, I chopped the bottom of the case off after this and will rebuild something with a little more shape to it, and start finishing up the top and landing gear.

So after printing the detail panels for the front of the ship I ram into a huge roadblock , which I took more video footage of than I did pictures, so it’ll all be wrapped up in a YouTube video when I’m done but basically the front of the ship just wasn’t working out , and in trying to hot knife it down to the size I wanted .. I wrecked it lol. Back to the drawing board!!

It was actually a blessing in disguise as it gave me the chance to try something new that I’d been wanting to try which is to use simple foam or polystyrene for sculpting or meshing up parts. In the following pictures I used the packing foam from a PC case, cut it to size and shape, sanded it, glued on my prints , primed it, added filler , sanded it, added EVA Foam and then plastidip.

If anyone’s following along here you might think my ship isn’t looking exactly like the Razor Crest, and that’s ok! I’ve decided to keep that as a reference but let it become it’s own ship as things have kind of changed along the way. Hope everyone’s having fun.

Landing gear attached, wings attached to the top. Started to rest fit the top panels here, and wrap the front in 2mm eva.
