I wouldn't know, as I do NOT have the balls (or spare cash) to delid my 3820. I can't break 54C anyway, so I think I'm good. That process would take 5 years off my life, and ruin a good pair of underwear! But it sure is fun to watch other people do it.

You wouldn't want to de-lid that processor. It's soldered down and doesn't use tim between the DIE and the IHS so don't worry about it.
