Been quite happy with my RT-AC66U (AC1750) it covers the house, front lawn and part way into the back with a solid enough signal to stream music etc while mowing the lawn, shoveling snow etc while outside. If I go all the way to the alley in the back it starts having issues.
One, just one ..... what's wrong with you LOL.
I only have three running in the house. I admit, one doesn't count, it's just a pass through but it's just a lousy stinkin' rogers cisco dpc 3825 which must be used ....... 'cause rogers doesn't allow other routers but their own for internet connections, lmao. After 10 feet and direct connection (no walls or floors) their wifi drops off.
I have a DIR-880L 1900ac in the basement, although it still needs to be positioned ...... it's just tossed against the wall above my computers. The software features are a little limiting but the simultaneous dual band is a great pleasure.
The second is up on the third floor. A WRT320N which is a few years old now but has fantastic software features, a great interface and exceptional speed and range even if it is limited to either the 2.4 or 5.0 GHz bandwidth.
Yeah, I know it sounds like overkill but with 3 wireless security cameras and two wired cameras I need the extra bandwidth (2 x 720p @ 1meg, 3 x 1080p, @ 2, 3, and 5 meg respectively).
My rogers limits are 35 download and 5 upload and I get that everywhere in the house and for 50 feet outside before it starts to fall off. That's for Ipad/e-reader, laptops and android phones.

Nice! Wendell from Tek Syndicate had some good things to say about that monitor. I kinda regret not going bigger like that. 28" is too small for 4k, but 39" should be awesome!
The only problem with a 4k monitor is you basically can't run anti aliasing on games unless you want your cads to die. I guess those monitors don't really need anti aliasing because the pixels are so small.
Of course, lowering the resolution works as well haha.
Once you see 4k in person, you realize there is no need for AA, ever again. Especially in shooters. I left it on in Civ5, but that game isn't hard on the hardware.
