  • Watercooled NCase M1 SFF Build

    Hello!

I have just recently joined this forum after ordering water cooling parts from Daz over the past year. I thought I would post my build as it currently stands. The full build log is posted here: https://linustechtips.com/main/topic...-build/?page=1

This is my fourth PC build, my first being a very basic i5 2500k build about 5 years ago, my second being a Z77 build for my brother and my third being my first water cooling adventure last year.

This time around I've gone the small form factor route with the NCase M1. Upon seeing the NCase I immediately knew I wanted to build in it. I was lucky to find one on kijiji for relatively cheap so I picked that up right away. Here is the hardware that is currently in the build: I am looking to upgrade my GPU in the summer to either a 980ti or Pascal as I want to get an ultrawide 1440p monitor.

    Hardware:
    Case: NCase M1 First Edition
    CPU: Intel i7 4790k
    Motherboard: EVGA Z97 Stinger Core-3D
RAM: 16 GB Corsair Dominator Platinum, 2133MHz, CL9 with Light Bars
GPU: EVGA GTX 970 SSC ACX 2.0
    PSU: Silverstone SFX 600W

    Water Cooling Components:
    CPU Block: EK Supremacy MX
GPU Block: EK GTX 970 ACX Full cover and backplate
Pump/Reservoir: D5 Vario with Alphacool Eisdecke pump top and res.
Tubing: 7/16 ID, 5/8 OD Clear flexible Primochill Advanced LRT (Possibly PETG in the future)
Fittings: XSPC Compression fittings, Bitspower 90o adaptors, a few other assortments.
    Radiator: EK CoolStream SE 240
    Fans: 2 x Rosewill slim 120mm, 1 x CoolerMaster 92mm.

    External Radiator Setup:
    Radiator: EK CoolStream XE 480
    Fans: 4 x Corsair SP120
Fittings: XSPC Compression fittings, Swiftech Quick Disconnects.

    to the community.
    Tight little build. Looks good.
Think I would have the external rad mounted below the desk, so it would be less of an eye soar.

Looks good. Will you keep radiator on the table?

        Thanks for the feedback!

I will likely move the rad under the desk, I've got a shelf right under my main shelf for putting the rad on (you can see it at the bottom of the first picture). I just need to find some time to cut the shelf to incorporate airflow through it. Having the rad on the top desk is just a temporary solution for the time being.
