  • Bungwirez Corsair C70

well. she's been hiding with Tom Cruise in the closet long enough.
I've been staring at her for long enough.

There are many challenges I'm setting myself up for this build.
And making it a "true" mod... I had to whiz over to crappy tire and get some cheapola stuff.

Here's the newest additions to the Bungz Tool Box... 50 bucks well spent.

so we all know what the C70 looks like... and yes, I've got a white one.
    Here it is semi dismantled.

    And minus about 25 rivets...

have to wait a little more for Lil Bungz to goto bed, then I'll get at the rest of the dismantle.
Also will need to go back to Crappy tire and get more rivets...
oh, and a bunch more Dremel blades of course.

    thanks for

can't say for sure that it will even become a full build.
but I definately want to use this case to learn a few modding techniques.

      and some Painting? I hope.

keeping the rear panel and tray one peice.
hopefully it will be as simple as 180 on the rear panel

          working on it now...

I'm looking at one of these cases, if you put a new window in it could you please take some pics? I haven't modded before but the fan mounts in the window are just begging to be gone haha

Hey Dod... will be trying to replicate the window mod Bill Owen created on his Planetside 2 build. and hopefully salvaging enough of the original window to create a nice backpanel peice.

As for now, here's what I got. The Mobo Tray has been excised.

              and inverted!!

I'm actually surprised at how relatively painless this will be.
I only need to make about three new drill holes for rivets on the bottom side.

I'm heavily leaning on removing that drive bay... will just mean more room for rads and a nice tube rez!!

              More to follow!

I forgot to mention earlier, Be careful with the Jobmate drill. My wife used to work at Crappy Tire and those things used to blow up by the dozen. Drilling out rivets shouldn't be a problem, just allow it to cool down often.

hope so.... been following up on tips from HanoverStudios.
might have to wait till it warms up a bit though...

Thanks for that Mario.... It is a very crappy drill... but only 14bucks...
one speed all or none will be more of a challenge when I start into drilling acrylics...
