  • Deep Blue V3

    Greetings fellow enthusiasts.

Recently I was in a motorcycle crash that has put me off duty for a while. While I heal I have decided to do a new build. The brother in law will get Deep Blue V2,

The plan for now, is as follows

    Case
    Phanteks Enthoo Luxe 2-Purchased
    Motherboard
ASRock Aqua x570 (If... and thats a big if... if I can get one, otherwise ill get an X570 Aorus Xtreme ) to be acquired
    CPU
    Ryzen 3950x -to be acquired
    PSU
    Corsair CP-9020139-NA HX1000 1000W 80 Plus Platinum -purchased
    RAM
    G.SKILL Trident Z Neo (For AMD Ryzen) Series 32GB (2 x 16GB) 288-Pin RGB DDR4 SDRAM DDR4 3600 -Purchased
    NVMe drive
    Samsung 970 EVO M.2 2280 250GB PCIe Gen3. X4 NVMe drive - Purchased
    Video card
    Radeon 5700XT -Purchased

    Water cooling goodness
    Distribution plate
    Phanteks D140 Distribution Plate-Purchased
    Pump and reservoir
    EK-XRES 140 Revo D5 RGB PWM-Purchased from Daz
    Radiators
    NexXxoS ST30 Full Copper X-Flow 360mm x1 - Purchased from Daz
NexXxoS ST30 Full Copper 480mm x1 - Purchased from Daz
NexXxoS ST30 Full Copper 420mm x1 - Purchased from Daz, currently in Deep Blue v2. I am putting a 240mm + a 120mm that i have collecting dust into Deep Blue v2 so the much larger 420 can go in Deep Blue v3
    Waterblocks
That depends on if I am one of the very lucky 999 people to get an ASRock aqua. if not we shall see.
5700xt clear water block -to be acquired

All in all, over 1000 in watercooling parts, the processor will be over a grand, the mother board will be too.

Get well soon man! I like the look of that Aqua board, but this X570 release made me glad I went Gigabyte (after 20 years of Asus fanboyism). FYI, the Aorus Master will be just fine for that 16 core, unless you're dead set on getting a water cooled top dog mobo.

Hooded the crash sucked. It 36hrs after our wedding. About to check into resort for our honeymoon. Ended up in Hospital from July 20-August 11. Wife ended up spending her birthday and entire honeymoon with me in the hospital. Feel bad for her. However she proved why she was my wife. As loving and supportive as can be imagined.

Broke my right arm, depressed skull fracture and brain injury. I'll hopefully be back to the frontlines on the ambulance before the end of the year.

Bartacus I too have been an Asus fanboy for years. Been strictly ROG since my Crosshair Formula z 990 motherboard.

This is the first year where I'm not even considering a Asus board. I really want the ASRock Aqua. But the odds of me getting it are fairly low. If I don't, then the Gigabyte x570 Aorus Xtreme is my next choice.

If I don't get either of them, I'll probably just stick with the Asus x370 Crosshair Extreme VI. And I'll just stick a tuf b450 in the build for the brother in law.

My case should be here in the next few days. I'll post some pictures of the case and the water cooling parts I got from Daz then.

Wow! thats horrible about your accident, and the timing. Hope you have a speedy recovery and sounds like you found your person. Hang on to that girl

Also looking forward to seeing what you do with that case. Ive been drooling over it since I saw it on youtube at Computex (I think) and was going to order one from newegg but thanks to an incident in my office last week they were sold out by the time I looked at the site again.

Good luck with your recovery and the new build

wishing you a speedy recovery sir! But in the mean time, i look forward to the build. The Aqua is one sweet board! i still remember the days when ASRock was like that little no name brand that you would buy if you needed an matx board, how times have changed!

Well, I suppose it's a good thing financially. The x570 Aqua is sold out.

Now I am mulling over, do I keep my existing X370 crosshair extreme V1 and put the 3950x in that, or upgrade (debatable upgrade) to a x570 taichi or a x570 gigabyte ultra?
