  • New cable combs size question

    Hey,

This might be more directed to Daz himself. I was wondering if the new cable combs are big enough for 18AWG wires with 4mm sleeving on top.

I'm asking because I stocked up on the older ones in the past and they weren't big enough for 18AWG wires with 2mm sleeving. I broke the small plastic tabs every time I tried inserting a sleeved cable in between them.

    Regards,

I don't think it will fit. It was done for 2mm sleeved wires.

Were the other ones I referred designed for 18AWG with 2mm sleeving as well ?

In that case, is there a particular reason why I couldn't fit 18AWG wires with 2mm sleeving in those ? As I said plastic tabs were bending and breaking as soon as I tried pushing a wire through. Was I supposed to threading them through the bottom portion of the openings rather than pushing them in through the top ?

One by one should work fine (unless you use bigger wires not from DarkSide extensions). If you push multiple they can break. You can return bad ones I exchange.

I'm afraid returning a 1$ part isn't worth it (shipping and time). Maybe the wire I bought has thicker insulation. Do you plan on having bigger cable combs in the future ? Maybe something more exotic like mainframecustoms' Gosumods metal combs or something of that nature ?

I'm looking for Aluminum combs, but nothing certain yet.
