d5 vario question

Well that limit is for GPU's and is more of a standard of practice than a limit. I mean you could probably draw your entire PSU worth of wattage from a single 6 pin as long as you have a single rail PSU, but the cables would get way too hot, hence the 75w 'limit.' The R9 295x2 draws more then the 150w limit through each 8pin.

Also D5's don't draw more then 22-25w at full speed. I don't know why you wouldn't use the molex cables on your PSU unless you are running a 6pin to dual molex connector for some reason.

I will be using the six pin from the psu ax860 to the triple molex. Sorry for the confusion. I was wondering if i could draw that power through that cable. Once again thanks for the replies gentlemen.

Im feeding a couple of ddc's on one 3 output molex plus lighting in my case np, you should be fine...
