New To LED

I have a few questions about LED lighting.
First, I ordered a Aura light strip. I looked closely at the wire order and it matches with the wire order on my Asrock Taichi MB's RGB header. So I
assume I can connect this directly to my MB with out the use of any other products (ie: controller) I assume the controller is built in to my MB.

Second, I ordered an LED extension cable. Daz informed me that it is NOT compatible with the Aura light strip ?? Is there different LED cable ends?

Maybe this next question is moot after the answer on the first question, but now I wonder if this extension cable will work on my EK-XRES 140 Revo D5 RGB PWM

AND, (sorry) what the heck is an https://dazmode.com/store/product/da...adapter-cable/ won't RGB already plug directly into any motherboard?
(with a RGB header)

The led is controlled by software when you plug it into your motherboard.

The Darkside RGB cables have their own connector, they are not the standard 4 pin 5050 rgb cable. You would need a cable like this:



That extension you linked only works with Darkside rgb cables. If you want a pump extension you will need either a molex (big plug) or a fan cable. (small plug)

That adapter you linked changes from the 5050 plug end(above) to the darkside special plug end.
