  • Maximus V Formula build advice

    MOBO = ASUS MAXIMUS V FORMULA
    CPU = Intel i7 3770K

    My biggest question is which would be the BEST 16 GB RAM for this set up. Need to be In RED also, as my theme is Red/Black
    Also should I use Red tubing or Clear with Red dye.
    Thanks for helping.

    This would fit the bill nicely and certified for your motherboard

    Cheapest seems to be DirectCanada 167.68$

          IDK... I guess for the price I might consider those 2400's... but I really think that no body needs anything more than 1600's ...

          I guess you guys are going for some serious OC and benching?

                Not doing any over-clocking, Stock speed for Ram and CPU thats more that fast enough for my daily needs.. For now
                I was looking at these ones
                Also should I go 2*8 or 4*4

                  2*8 would give you space to upgrade later.

                    Yup, plus your mobo only supports dual channel ram, since it isn't X79, so 4*4 doesn't really buy you anything.
