I think this is a dremel job. seen it before that you need to make the opening larger anyway to accomodate the increase size in sleeved wires.

      actually, guess not..

lol it's my first time doing that so i didn't want to force anything. wow it's one hell of a mess in these things. is it just corsair that as some smaller wires that y connect at the connector and seam to go somewhere completely different then the terminal that provide power inside the power supply? maybe for a sensor of some kind?

i am finding all the challenges in it yes. i will most likely have to widden the hole for the wires like you suggested previously as i am doing individual sleeving, and that does add to the volume.

makes me think, so far i've been unplugging them one wire at a time to make sure i put them back where they belong in the connector.is the color of the wires determine the type of current they have. 12v+,12v neutral and so on?

Yes, iirc the wires are color coded by voltage or function. Black is ground, that's all I know for sure. I'll go find a diagram.

Edit: Text chart from about.com, dunno how good this is going to look just pasted here.

                      3 COM Black Ground
                      4 +5V Red +5 VDC

another question for you all, what would be the best method for holding the sleeve in the psu ? and how the hell does ppl made the whole cable so straight and even with no twist and turns to align with the connectors inserts?

Hot glue or a little epoxy will hold the sleeve, and they put the connector together first with pre-cut wire lengths.

that's a good idea, would you think that a simple tiewrap would suffice? as it's not going to be easy at all to glue them the way they are placed in the psu and how jam packed it is in there and i am a little lazy
