DDC 3.2 PWM Pump - how to prime / fill the system

Good afternoon everyone... I have a question.

For PWM controlled pumps. Do you need to supply the PWM signal to the pump in order for it to cycle? When filling up the system for the first time, the DDC 3.2 PWM pump I have has 2 connectors. A 4 pin and also a molex 12V. If I supply 12V to just the molex plug will the pump cycle?

Connect only the molex,
a PWM pump will work (not sure if its a 100% speed) without PWM signal
