  • What is the best coolant for everyday use?

Hi guys, I'm still thinking about the coolant that I will use for my future water cooling setup. I'm thinking of using distilled water because according to my short research, it is the best coolant?Any coolant that you can suggest?I want to use some colored coolants like the mayhem pastels.but my computer is not for show and I use it for 5-10hrs everyday

You think that I should go for distilled water for performance?I want a affordable coolant that performs very well.

thanks in advance for helping me

99% of coolant on market are good for day to day use
maybe just Mayhem Aurora is not for day to day

and coolant performance, I tried a lot of different coolant and performance are similar, some have 0.5c better temp
seriously, performance is not a factor in coolant

pastel color are very good, premix like Feser are very good

but if you go with flex tubing, go for colored tubing, distilled water and Darkside Dazmode protector

for kill coil, I used it onbe time and corrosion appears on my block, never use this again

I have used Mayhems Pastel and X1 and also EK-Ekoolant and they perform very well.

A lot of people only rely on simple distilled water with some protection inhibitors in it so this will in fact perform very well too.

As Snef said, I don't think you will achieve a real step temperature-wise by using only distilled over branded company coolant.

Also the time you use your computer during a day don't have to affect your choice...All my watercooled computers are running 24/7

good question is what type of tubing you are using.
I've had fancy colored coolants react with the tubing to make issues in aesthetics and more goo in loop.
Now I choose to simplify things and stick to distilled and DazProtect,
If I want color in my loop, I'll get same effect from say, red tubes.

of course, if you go with rigid tube...

I'm still thinking of what tubes should I use.thank you sir so maybe I'll stick with the disitilled since it is my first time on water cooling and my rig is not for show I'll stick with it. If I'll use rigid tubes it's fine for me that clear water is running through )
