Hello all,
This is my first custom loop since my Q6600 back in `07 and a desktop replacement notebook I had with a custom water block. Things have come a long long way. No more zip ties to securing hoses on barbs, No more cutting up cases, pumps now have different speeds... Hahaha, My very first water cooling experience was on an AMD Tbird 900. grass root days? =D
I hope you guys enjoy my humble build... maybe one day I'll really get into building again. These tenured builders who make and design incredible looking builds are just on another level! haha Good luck to all entries for the BOTM!
Here goes
Fractal Define R6 TG
I9-9900K @5.2 ~ 1.337 vcore
Asus Maximus XI Hero (it's not that bad of a board)
G. Skill Trident Z RGB 16GB 3200 @ 3800 14:14:14:34 1.39v (didn't bother going higher or tighter)
Asus Dual RTX 2080 Ti on Galax Bios 2170 / 1900 (Ram is super limited on my card)
Samsung Evo 970 1TB
Hitachi TravelStar 1TB
WD Red 4TB
Corsair RM850x
Corsair ML120s
Cablemods custom
Cooling Setup
EKWB D5 Pump Res Combo
EKWB Velocity CPU and GPU blocks
Barrow Fittings
12' EKWB HD Tubing
Hardware Labs Nemesis 360 GTS and 360 GTX
MISC Darkside UV and RGB strips, misc fan hubs and some tessa tape for wires (why not?)
(I think that's literally everything)
Drying out some fittings after an ultrasonic bath (so much oil and bits come out!)
Testing out some DarkSide UV strips
GPU Tear down
This bit is an amazing time saver!
Some initial cable management (I hate doing this!)
Some assembly required
PHEW! I did not have a plan B! Good thing the rubber was dense enough to squish.
Perpendicular runs and 1.5h+ trying to figure out a drain setup
Several hours later...
Lights On (as an old school builder, I surprised myself by going RGB) (the UV is a bit more purple, camera doesn't catch the proper fluid color, but this actually looks pretty good too)
