Hi everyone. There seemed to be some good response to my request for 3d printing in every aspect but actually getting things printed Figured be nice to share our experiences and projects here in the Off Topic. After playing a lot in my teens and early 20s, I didn't play much after that. Recently I picked up a game called Hero Kids and have gotten my kids (5 and 7) hooked on playing pen and paper rpgs with me. They love it! We haven't missed a week in the three months since we started.
The game comes with paper miniatures you can cut out and use, but after a couple games of that I thought - this will not do - and used it as an excuse to start a new hobby. After a free painting tutorial at a nearby Games Workshop store (where I spent $155 on figures and paints afterwards...) I started our collection of miniatures.
Of course, playing with all these nice figurines on printed paper maps is terrible, so soon I'm going to start getting in to making terrain for my kids to play on.
Share what ya got! I'm excited to see what everyone else has done and to hear about their adventures.
