        Noyce upgrade.

I am considering doing the same, even though it will be a loss of money to sell my 2 x 290X with EK blocks!

ohh Hero1 I think swap a pair of 290x to 980 is not a good move, keep yours and wait for the High end (980ti or titan 2)

I just received the new GPU's for Renegade X

now waiting for put these under water

Think I'll wait for the 999 TTi Over-superclocked 50 gb version myself.

Really nice stock cooler. Nvidia did it right.

Yes it is nice, has a little resemblance to the HOF 780.

Unless you're running into PSU , rad capacity, or small room hot-boxing issues there isn't much reason to "semi-upgrade". I bought GTX 970s because they have short PCBs which is good for small builds, otherwise GTX 760 4GBs would have been fine.
DS340-E: Core I7 3770K Undervolted at 4.3Ghz, Asrock Z77 Extreme-3, 16GB of Adata XPG V2 gold RAM at 2200mhz, XFX R9 290 with EK water block and (I love) gold backplate, EK tubing, Bitspower and Darkside fittigs, Darkside RGB lighting with handy remote control, WD Black Dual (120GB SSD+1TB mechanical) hard disk, Swiftech PWM fan controller, Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
