  • [Build Log] Revamping current build after DDC funeral

Recently my DDC 3.25 bit the dust after nearly 3 years of loyal service. I was going to just replace it and move on, but after spending any amount of time at dazmode.com my cart gets full so I am going to do a full build log again (lots of stuff has changed).

    Log:

    Board:MSI z77 Mpower
    CPU: Intell 3770k @ 4.8 Ghz delidded
    GPU: EVGA GTX 980
Memory: 12 GB Corsair Dominator DDR3 (2x4 and 2x2 in dual channel)
    2 vertex 3 120 GB SSD, 2 Samsung 840 120 GB SSD and WD Blue 1TB HDD
Asus Xonar DX 7.1 sound card
    Case : Corsair Air 540
PSU: XFX fully modular 850 watt gold rated

    Cooling:

    Ek PE 360 radiator
    Xspc 240 radiator
Ek dazmode maple leaf edition cpu block
    Ek gtx980 block and backplate
Bitspower dominator 4 dimm memory block blue
    3x koolance 2650rpm 120mm fans
    2x Xspc 120mm fans
    Gvans 4 30w channel controller
Ek white acetal csq d5 pump top
    Darkside 6 port tube reservoir
    White 3/8 5/8 tube
Darkside 14cm led strips 1 orange 1 white
    D5 pump
    Orings and general maintenance stuff

Current colour scheme is blue but in February I plan on making the jump to skylake and will be sticking with MSI for the motherboard. Of course it seems this time around its either red or white so I will go with white at that point so I'm going to be moving my loop over to a blue and white theme under the current build.

Will update with images as things progress.

Current reservoir and pump are just placeholders but will actually be separate and moved over when I get new parts in.

While I wait for my parts to arrive I've decided to paint the side panel in the same way I painted the grill, pci brackets and fan guard.

Still a little tacky so I'm going to wait to put the window back in but that's what it will look like.

Thank you, rustoleum does the trick :p. I should have all my parts needed to finish at my doorstep soon. I may paint the other side panel as well. Hopefully everything fits where I planned.
