I have the same case for my build and I love it. It's huge but not too huge just wide enough and tall. I wanted a big setup and that's what I managed to put together with taht case. Also I needed a bluray/dvd player/burner and it is not common anymore. so it was a nice addition from Thermaltake to offer that possibility.

Hey guys, long time no update. Trying to get stuff done now that the new year is here.



I removed the hard drive mount section from the X71 - as I received a 2nd case due to damage on the first, I have 2 pieces of glass instead of the usual one. Should look awesome, can't wait.

The material on the midplate and fans is just some vinyl. I buy from Vvivid vinyl here in canada.

I originally had some sags in the 2nd layer of clear, so I had to wait a few days and then come back and deal with them. I ended up using an old bodyshop trick - dragging a razor across them to shave away a bit of the high area at a time. Sanding was taking too long as I'm always nervous about removing the clear and paint on the corners. The paint looks to have some bands but thats just from the texture of the clear, should go away when I sand and polish.






TT riing RGB fan installed since this PSU has no 0% mode. I had to make a hole in the PSU to run the fan cable, I choose the bottom because with a hole in the case as well the wire can go directly to the basement.


I'm so tired of painting but then again I look forward even less to sanding and polishing. At least there are very few large flat parts.

Also stay tuned for wiring about 16 fans and 5 controllers. Woooooo.
