  • Intel i5 2550K, OC 4.5, XFire 7950 1000/6300

Here is my current build, which will be replaced over the next few months

    Parts List:

XSPC Raystorm /w Aluminum hold down plate
    XSPC EX240 Rad
    Phobya 200mm Rad
    Koolance 401X2 with DDC 3.25
EK 7950 full cover block with back plates
    Thermochill Flex tubing
    Assorted Bitspower fittings
    Koolance QDC fittings
    Ice Dragon Coolant

I will be moving to a Socket 2011 platform over the next month or two, I already have a Rampage IV Extreme on the way with EK Blocks, as well as some Crucial Ballistix 1866 1.5V ram. Going to be putting a 3930K cpu in the system. I will be swaping out the case and going with a Case Labs M8 and will be planning a tripple rad setup, a EX240 in the front and 2 360 Rads on the top. How ever I am unsure as to what rads to get. I am wanting to use low noise fans and will be trying to go a quiet as possible, so any input will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers and a big thanks to Daz and all his hard work

    Chris

It's a combination of the 1" D-Plug Coupler and either a 20mm or 25mm Spacer. In that pic I have them running in parallel, I have since switched it to series.

What are the temps like using the Ice Dragon coolant (vs using coolant from some other manufacturer), would be interested in knowing if it's worth the price premium?

I will run some tests tonight using BF3, I know playing WoW or SWTOR my GPU Temps hover around 40c ( not sure of the CPU temp ). I would imagine that it performs similar to most other premixed fluids

After an hour of BF3 the max GPU temps are around 42c and the CPU is 60c max on a 64 player server

I am digging around for some new rads for my Case Labs build, looking at a med to low fans for near silent operation. So far I have looked at the following

                2 x XSPC RX360 + XSPC RX240

                2 x Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 360 + Alphacool NexXxoS XT45 240

                2 x Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 360 + Alphacool NexXxoS UT60 240

                2 x Black Ice SR1 360 + Black Ice SR1 240

                2 x EK-Coolstream RAD XTX 360 + EK-Coolstream RAD XTX 240

What are your guys thoughts and opinions?

                Cheers,

                Chris

Do you check for exact p/n's? I have many people asking this question.

Is this for PCI slot 1 and 3?

                  >>>>>

Lower fpi rads like RX would be better for slower fans.

For the linkage I used the following

                    http://www.dazmode.com/store/index.p...oducts_id=1667

                    And

                    http://www.dazmode.com/store/index.p...roducts_id=777

And that will work perfectly for any setups that leave 1 PCI slot between the cards (assuming double bracket PCIe Cards)

For my next board the distance is such that I will just use fittings and tubing ( for SLI/Xfire X16 operation you use red slots 1 and 3)
