  • Help to select design for Canadian themed CPU block

There is small project I'm trying to pull off for over 2 years now - creation of inexpensive, but efficient CPU block which has Canadian branding as part of design.

At our meeting at CES Eddy agreed to consider small custom batch to make my dream come true based on latest revision of LTX.

We put together few prototypes and I'd like your input on possible look. Plexi-Copper version is considered.

If you like to contribute, feel free to make your design. Also as it stands right now Eddy strongly attached to EK badge, so I'm not sure I can convince him for engraved design only.

One more. Also keep in mind that looks differ with fittings and tube being attached.

I'm with fuzzy, the second is my favorite. I don't like the look of the maple leaf with holes in it personally.

X3. Number two leads the way for me.

I DO like the look of the maple leaf being off the centre of x and y-axis, but I DON'T like that the leaf itself would be 'tainted' (for lack of a better word) by the fittings.

Would it be possible to have some colors in there?

I think if that could happen it would spark some Canadian themed builds!

I'll fourth the number two image for pretty much the same reason Jrees does.

Just adding to number two with my epic paint skills (yeahhhh) ... and hoping that color would be an option, I'd think this would look quite good.

I think I'd do a complete white and red themed build with that!!

I think painting acrylic is out of question, but colored LEDs can do great job on plexi engraving.

That's a good point Daz, a red LED on each side would make that look awesome.

As far as picturing the block in a finished state I actually like #4's style a little more than the rest. It feels like a stylization instead of a copy. Not as prim and proper but a little more fun before the fittings are in place.

However as it has been mentioned with where the openings are and after fittings are in place I think #2 like many other have already voiced would probably look best.

The second one would be my choice too! Can't wait to see these in stock! My HAF 912 rig which is already lit with red cathodes would love to welcome that block home! Any idea on price?

I'd have to get one for a Red and White build.
