Good and Bad news from Canada Post

Good news for those who live outside of major cities centers. Delivery cost for Xpost and other air services will go down as much as 20% in July.

Bad news for everybody else, as CP strike is almost imminent with full lock down scheduled on about July 9th, unless new labor deal will be agreed. So far both sides in total disagreement. Also CP workers won court ruling that "back to work registration" used by Conservatives last time is not constitutional, so they can strike as long as they want now.

RN's have been dreaming up a strike for the last 30 years.

The union did not announce they would be going on strike yet, and they have to give 72 hours notice so we are good till wed at least. Apparently the workers have submitted a new offer as of this morning.

Yeah they have to give 72 hours notice before going on strike, so now it won't be before Friday. I am assuming you won't get your packages until the strike lifts if it is in transit at the time.

Unfortunately, when i sell something and i have to ship it - UPS, FEDEX, DHL, PUROLATOR is pretty expensive compared to CP.

On multiple occasions UPS will show shipped status and the package won't show up until the next day. I only use them when they are the only choice.
