Darkside rigid LED strips

Does anyone know if the darkside rigid led strips can be cut like normal led strips?
I have need for 2 shorter strips, I could cut up one of the longer ones I have and solder new leads to them, or just buy some new short ones and lop the end off.

Yes they can, but you need to be careful not to cut on the wrong side of connection. You can only cut after every 3rd led in the strip.
Daz talks about this and show exactly where you can cut them in one of his videos.

I've tried to re-solder these back together... or make alternate leads... with poor success.
probably owing to my own inability to solder.

but what's definitely easy is buying two and cutting each to length.
