  • Eispumpe VPP755 PWM Pump Motor - Rev 2

Anyone have experience with this pump, or even Rev.1? Also wondering if this is compatible with the Heatkiller D5 Res....

    Nope not I.
Still waiting to hear how well it preforms and longevity of the pump. From actual owners/users.

It does look very interesting and tempting, I just don't want to be one of the guinea pigs.

        From item description:

        DazMode notes:

        1. This pump has the same shape as Laing D5 and any accessories for D5 will fit. Other than that it has nothing to do with D5 pumps design.

        2. Note that any disassembly will void warranty.

        3. Rev 2 addresses some noise issues with iteration 1 model.

It was from this review of Rev. 1 that has me wary of compatability with pump tops and reservoirs.
          http://www.xtremerigs.net/2016/10/31...5-pump-review/

It shows that some dimensions are not identical to the D5 sometimes creating issues with the seal on the O-ring.

'So is Alphacool’s statement that the VPP755 pump is “compatible to D5 mounting places” accurate? Unfortunately for the end user it is not.'

Compatible Pump Tops for VPP755 pump.

Alphacool Eisdecke D5 Top – wet test pass, pump vertical and horizontal.
Barrow D5 Top – wet test pass, pump vertical.
Bitspower D5 Mod Top V2 – wet test pass, pump horizontal.
Bitspower D5 Mod Top “S” Model – wet test pass, pump vertical.
EK-XTOP Revo D5 – wet test pass, pump vertical.

NON Compatible Pump Tops for VPP755 pump.

EK-D5 X-TOP CSQ – no seal contact, tried thicker o-ring and cracked the retaining collar – no wet test. Probably will work with thicker o-ring and don’t crank down “too hard” on the retaining collar screws
EK-D5 Dual TOP G1/4 CSQ – no seal contact, no attempt with alternate o-rings made.
Monsoon SAP – sealed well and wet test commenced but after running for ~2 minutes (pump vertical) noise erupted from inside the pump. Looks like contact between impeller and volute during operation, shaft kept spinning and flicked off the white retaining washer and flat washer underneath it. It is possible I did not put impeller retaining washer back on properly, but very unlikely as pump had been in operation for many hours after it was re-assembled following the photo shoot. Has run smoothly for a few hours since the “incident”.

Why he couldn't take an accurate measurement with a set of Mitutoyo digi calipers is beyond me...

This pump has problems with impeller mounting (thin 0.5mm split washer) which results in noise and even impeller being coming off from the ceramic shaft: http://www.overclock.net/t/1624192/a...l-vpp755-noise
