  • noob question about printing

    I found some paper sticker for making power supply sticker

    but I don't have photoshop and I will not buy it or download it, I hate this sortware

    my question is
    how to print a picture to a fixed size?

    ex: I want to print a a picture in area of 10 x 18cm???

    how I do that?, don't forget, im a more than noob on that

    the only thing I need to try is create a paper of the size I need and use it, this will work?

    I have a million if idea with this paper, I will need a lot of ink

    The trick is DPI
    If your printing at 720dpi then make your picture at 720dpi.
    This will print the size you lay out at.
    Most on screen images are at 72dpi for the internet.

    Increasing the images dpi (Dots Per Inch) will increase the file size fast, also the images detail to help prevent jaggy edge's when printing.
