  • About to place my order, any help/suggestions?

Hey guys, noobie here. I'm about to place my order for my WC loop, and I was wondering if the parts I selected will work together. I'm pretty sure they will, but I just want to make sure before I drop $$$ on this.

    Code:
1/2" ID Tubing - Barb - Matt Black

Tube FLX Clear 7/16? ID, 5/8? OD - 2m pack

1/2" ID Tubing 90 Degree Rotary - Barb - Matt Black

Feser One - Cooling Fluid - UV ORANGE Rev2

Cross-Flow Slim High Density Triple 120mm Radiator XSPC EX360

    EK-Supremacy - Plexi Copper

    EK-D5 X-RES 140 CSQ - Acetal D5 Top-Reservoir Combo

DazMode STORM D5 STRONG 8-24V Pump
PS I'm also going to be using an EK 7970 water block along with this loop (it's copper)

    Thanks!

    Yup. Everything seems right.
    1/2 barbs work great with 7/16 - 5/8 tube.
Good luck and make sure to post some shots when you're all setup!

Thanks What do you think of the radiator, is it decent? Will 1200RPM fans suffice?

What's your take on mixing nickel and copper blocks? I sort of want to get a nickel cpu block instead of the copper one, but my gpu block is already copper :x

ya man... welcome to the club Johny.

excellent choice on the 7/16 tube with 1/2 barbs... we call this the big balls connection

as for fans... I've been using this one... is totally adequate for 10bucks a pop.

I see that you have your PCIe cables for your 7970 and your 24-pin cable in your cart. You should add the one for your EPS cable. Something like THIS

And I agree with BungWirez on the fans
          Luc

          Orchid (Corsair-Crystal-570X)
Silent Watcher (be quiet! Dark Base Pro 900)
          Eclipse (Parvum L1.0)
          Northern Lights (Phanteks Enthoo Luxe)
          Lady Sif (EK-Vulture)
          Xenomorph (Parvum S2.0)

Noting wrong with the list as I see it.

I do not see fans, but I assume you have them

PS for slow fans lower fin dencity radiator can be betetr as PX360, assuming you can fit it.

Hey Johny. We went through this several times with other users on the forum. Basically , mixing nickel and copper components has no drawbacks. Either used pre-mixed coolants or distilled water and Daz protector and you are good to go!

Here is a post on hardware canucks that sums it all up pretty good which Daz has contributed to as well.

Thanks for the warm welcome guys! So if I use the Feser one liquid I have in my cart, will I be able to mix copper and nickel? Also do I mix the feser with distilled water?

I bought an 8 pack of cougar fans, 1200rpm about 63ccfm. I think they should be good enough hahaha.

Thanks for the EPS cable suggestion

Feser one is already pre-mixed, diluting it is bad idea.

I have a couple in my case right now actually. They push quite a bit of air, and aren't really that loud. For $20 for 4 on sale, pretty happy with em!

Any word on when this will restock?

Ek just sent letter that they are so beyond their capacity, so they can not guarantee any lead times at this time. Next year, I guess?

i think I may have one 100mm version un accounted although...

Will it suffice for my loop? If so I'll take it, let me know how :p
