  • Broken capacitors on expensive motherboard - how to replace?

    Hi guys,

I bought a motherboard that was damaged during shipping, and 2 of the capacitors were broken off.

I RMA'd with Asus, and they said because it was physical damage, warranty is not covered.

and they quoted me $587.62 to fix this...

Has anyone had experience replacing broken capacitors?

Wondering how would I know what type and where to buy replacement capacitors, and what the soldering process would be like.

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thanks.
    Ash

    Look up Louis Rossman
He may have some input as to who or where to look here in Canada.
    He's in NYC.

You could try searching kijiji.ca service for motherboard repair.
