Has Nvidia improved their 2d image quality yet? My last Nvidia card was an 8800GT, and the 2D display was really bad compared to ATI/AMD. Colors looked more washed out, etc. Switched to an ATI card and the desktop looked miles better, colors looked better, etc.Comment

I'm referring to overall 2D image quality though, not 3D. I know they perform well, but I find the colors just look more pale and washed out on Nvidia cards, at least the older ones.Originally posted by bungwirez View Post
When I switched to ATI, I noticed a huge improvement in the colors on web pages, pictures, etc. I always found Nvidias color palettes to be noticeably more dull than comparative ATI cards. But that was years ago. Back then Matrox RULED that arena. Some days I still miss my Matrox G400.
