And so begins my bad luck. Went to install my EK SLI bridge and two of the Helicoils (middle and right) on one of my EK Titan X block disintegrated. Got some coming in tomorrow from a local shop, fingers crossed.
looks like the previous owner to these blocks may have stripped them, talked with EK and a new top is on its way. Seller covered the cost so the only thing I am out is time.
PETG requires more sanding on the cut ends than acrylic because it's more of a "rubbery" plastic. It also doesn't have as good resistance to ethylene glycol as acrylic, so that might be a problem down the line, though I haven't seen anything posted on that yet.
