  • Test Bench/Open air case

Well, I always wanted a test bench. While the Little Devil test bench would be a great choice it was a little out of my budget. So I went ahead and ordered an AeroCool StrikeX-Air

I have had a Phoyba 200mm rad for a year and a half now that has been screaming to be used. So my plan is to try and use it on that main 200mm fan over the motherboard.

I just bought a new 3770k that I will pair with my Z77 Mpower in my TJ11/caselabs and I have a 2600K from previous that I will pair with a cheaper 1155 mobo in the test bench.

From the reviews of the case looks like I will have to strengthen that top fan holder. It seems to sag already by itself. Oh and its not Timmys coffee just the mug. Coffee is from freshco

Well since Daz got his custom cpu block, looks like a good time to grab one for this.

                Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD4H 2600k

Testing ram thought I had a bad stick so I removed the ram waterblock to test 1 at a time. It turned out my new MSI Z77 MPower had a bad ram slot, doh rma time.

H60 is temp until I grab my new waterblocks.

Also I'm looking for ideas on a res/pump combo (no bay res). Pumps type doesn't matter. Any ideas on where to mount it?

New pics, new camera Nikon D3200 (new to dslr photography):

CPu power cable was not long enough.

The ne Nikon D3200 is doing you proud mate...

regarding the rez.... mounted on the pump and stick it in the top drive bays..
would require some dremel work... but if you get 250mm extension,
                        could be bauce!!

Yeah I've done some dermel work under that top cover for the rad.

Not sure how I am going to route this yet.

Going to play around without cutting first.

                          Maybe something like this:

As with all open air cases/benches wire management is a b*t*h. Still working on hiding the wires. Most are underneath but not all are long enough to be routed that way.
