Finally embarking on my eagerly awaited BitFenix Prodigy build.
Lets get this started!
Components (For the moment at least - I always change my mind down the line.)
Case: BitFenix Prodigy Black mini-itx ORDERED | IN HAND
CPU: i7-3770k ORDERED | IN HAND
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz Low Profile / Voltage 1600mhz | IN HAND
GPU: 6970 with EK-6970v2 + backplate | IN HAND
(For the early stages - When I get enough money I will go for a high end Nvidia card.)
MOBO: ASRock Z77E-ITX LGA 1155 Intel Z77 ORDERED | IN HAND
PSU: Silverstone Strider 650w gold + short cable set ORDERED | IN HAND
SSD: Samsung 840 Series 500GB 2.5in SATA3 MDX
HDD: WD Caviar Black 1TB
CUSTOM: Darkside extensions and EK-Supreme LTX UNI CSQ - Canada Edition ORDERED | IN HAND
Cooling and custom stuff from Daz:
I've decided to go with Darkside sleeved extensions in the 'lava' color scheme.
(I suppose someday i'll just sit down and make my own cables and colors. But at this point in my life I do not have patience to do so. Don't hate!)
I'm thinking
XSPC crossflow 240 rad in the top , DDC pump with mini res.

http://www.dazmode.com/store/product...op_tank_combo/
Special edition Canada EK block CPU block.
http://www.dazmode.com/store/product...ion_cpu_block/
Fitting wise I think i'll go 3/8 1/2 Black with Bitspower. Clear tubing and EK Blood red coolant.
Fans...I'm very fond of the low profile scythe fans. They don't make much noise (if at all)
I already have some 2000rpms so i'll probably recycle them into my prodigy.
I'll also pickup a BF 'recon' fan controller.

So there you have it.
Case and most of the cooling components will be ordered on april 1st.
As this is a side project I will be taking my time with it. I will update throughout when I receive new parts or make any changes. I'm in no rush to finish this thing though. I estimate putting between 150-200$ per month. Final cost has not been determined.
I know some of you have experience with the Prodigy , please feel free to share any thoughts or tricks (or frustrations!)
Its going to be a fun build , at least I hope!
