  • [Build Log]: Silverstone TJ-07

    Well hello there

Should probably introduce myself. Marc from Quebec, Canada. Been lurking for a while on here, never really posted my other builds. I have some spare time now and been accumulating too many parts. You know how it is. OMG IT'S ON SPECIAL BUY BUY BUY ... why did I buy that part again?

So i'm currently building this one and another Corsair 800D. My rig right now is a FT-02 build on the x58 arch with an i7-950, fully watercooled with a power hungry 6970. Why am I switching to another computer? I have NO idea. We're all in here for the same reason, build stuff.

This is my TJ-07 build. Not original at all but it's mine and I love it.

I have decided on which architecture I will be building it on, but it's most going to be a 2011 socket for now.

    Hardware:
    2 x Samsung 840 128GB in raid0
    2 x 7870 XFX double-D edition
    Corsair 1200W

    Cooling:
    EK supremacy nickel-acetal black
    EK GPU 7870 blocks
    EK 250 reservoir tube
D5 strong pump vario dazmode version
    XSPC RX480
    XSPC RX240
    6x Gentle Typhon 1850RPM fans
2x Gelid 80mm fans OR Xigmatek white led version.

    Sleeving:
    MDPC white, shade19 and black.

    case:
    TJ-07 silverstone
    ColdZero backplate
ColdZero motherboard tray (this thing is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G)
ColdZero 5.25 covers and back cover
    ColdZero illuminated mid-plate
    ColdZero top plexi window

Here's what my son's room look like Too much stuff.

Started by assembling the ColdZero.eu inverted motherboard + backplate.

Start by installing the medium screws with caps, should be three. Like this:

And the rest of the small bolts + headscrews.

Insert capless hex in each "square" hole of the back motherboard:

    Assembled:

You are left with 1 hardware of each. Nicely done Ricardo

Time to tap some holes WOW that sounds dirty ...

Used a M4 tap with a drill. Works really good.

Nice M4 button screws, all black, fits right in now.

That's all I have for now
