  • Magi's New and improved build with lots of more fun and actual modding *_*

this is going to be a very long build log since I have very little time to actually do any modding / building D:.... but new hardware coming soon *_* also daz should expect a large order from me sometime in the (hopefully near) future for angled fittings and possibly a set of ek blocks.... the razor doesn't quite suite the look i was hoping it would so I will probably end up pulling the trigger on full ek set of blocks ._. when case modding is done... but here is the beginnings of my new messy build

Parts list (still to be determined)

GTX 780 with xspc gtx titan razor / backplate

GTX 780 (acx sc) with to be determined waterblock

Maximus V formula (thunder FX version) with EK blocks

    i7 3770k

    Kingston hyperX 240gb ssd

    2x Samsung 840 500gb ssd

Raystorm cpu block (might change to match the maximus blocks)

    XSPC rx 360 rad

    XSPC 240mm rad

    Dual ddc pump

    Koolance 402x2 dual bay res

Primochill 3/8 -> 5/8 tubing (orange or red not decided yet)

    Case being modded

    Corsair 800D *_*

Just out of curiosity, why did you get the 780 with a ACX cooler when you're going to strip it off and slap a block on it?

            @ relikar

incase i ever wanted to air cool lmao.... on a more serious note it was for the SC version of the card, and it was same price as regular cooler so why not

I'm in! Just because the build in your avatar looks like my first build, loud and obnoxious. Plus I have an empty 800D now, so I'm interested to see you chop yours up.

Huh, interesting. Everything I saw was that the ACX cooler cost more. Judging by the 3 cards on newegg though, the ACX cooled card isn't SC but is clocked higher than the SC with a reg cooler. Makes sense. Not.

                All the same price though.

Man that's a lot oomph on that baby It sucks that nvidia doesn't allow their gpu core volts adjustment all the way to 1.3v Temps would look great under water but always voltage limited. Hopefully Ive-e doesn't suck too hehe it's only a few weeks away. Nice

actually there is a way to access the voltage control to get 1.3v *_* without hard modding the card... i've already managed to get 1400mhz+ on one of my cards and will be seeing what the others can do soon XD
