I'll likely be suspended.

Well in any way, better to re-assure HR/Mangament that you will comply and work with them on resolution. Nobody want additional headaches, so offer full cooperation clear and laud.

It has to be in writing with your signature under it as acceptance. Verbal does not cut it...

As it was said: Deny all and offer full cooperation to resolve this, regardless if this was a misunderstanding or deliberate action against you for whatever reason.

In meanwhile, keep your head cool and document ALL interaction with management and HR (who said what) in case they decide to kick you, you sue them for wrongful dismissal. Just do not bring it up as yet, just get your ducks in the raw quietly.

my Union is working up the official grievance,
the Hospital maintains no wrong doing.
I still don't know my accuser.

just working overtime tonite... and milking them for every cent.
