If you soak the 3/8" tubing in some warm water; the barb will slip (not easily, but it'll work) into the tubing, then when the tubing cools, it shrinks to fit the barb. Only downside is if you want to remove the barb, you'll have to cut it off.

Were born to be a STRYKER. OPPS I used my milk for coolant. MILK + UV CLEAR DYE = UV WHITE COOLANT.

Does that cover around the fitting come off ? If so there is a possibility that you could unscrew it from the block and maybe drill out the centre to a larger diameter. Other possibility is that it is some sort of standard thread and find an adaptor to allow another larger diam. fitting. Just be careful because they might of epoxied it in and that would be a PITA.

                      1/4" barb fittings G1/4" 90° rotary
                      3/8" barb fittings G1/4" 90° rotary

One or two of those might a make a prettier/better connection.

Mind you; if you're using 3/8" tubing, there probably won't be a need for any form of angled adapter, as you can get a tighter radius with the smaller tubing. Saw this done on a recent YouTube video this morning...will try to find it again

Is there no way to cut it off and sweat on a new threaded coupling? If it were me, I'd have my machine shop make one

How would you prevent the 470f-580f temp of soldering from damaging the mobo or the regulator ?
