I'm glad that someone likes it. LOL I got the case and I already don't like the PSU shroud. It's getting in the way and all I'm doing is hooking up fans and a controller. The bottom cage is also getting in the way from mounting fans in the darn thing. If I mount a rad in the front I have to sacrifice the hard drive bays and the only mount that I can see for a pump/reservoir combo. I am really not happy with the top mount most of all. It looks like it's capable of mounting fans on top of the removable tray. You can't. You will have to either completely disassemble the top of the case or recreate the mount for the tray. The other thing about the top tray is that if you did want to mount fans up there you would have to take a grinder to the curled edge of the tray mounting system. I'd just have flat thicker metal that will hold its own. I'm actually thinking about scrapping this case and going with either the master case pro or just maybe bite the bullet and get a real case (Caselabs).

I think I'm just going to make this build in this case look pretty and just stick a cheap AIO Cooler with one of my cheap motherboards and move onto a better case. Something worth a high end build. I keep getting the feeling that too many things about the case feel cheap. The external construction and frame feel solid but I just not jiving with the rest of it. Maybe a build in the Evolv would be better. It is made of thick aluminum and the price does suggest a higher quality product. If I'm going to spend in excess of $ 200 I should just be getting a high end case like CaseLabs. See DAz I'm talking myself into one here! That S8 is sure looking like a bargain for saving time and effort.

Good case foundation of success. No doubt.

Evolv atx is worth every penny. Not to dissuade you from Caselabs, I'm sure they are worth every penny too.

If you look at my Overkill HTPC it's in a Phanteks Pro. Not A Pro M.
I have a thick 240 installed infront of the PSU on the bottom. I had to remove the lower drive bays caddy, but kept the one 3½" caddy directly below 5¼" bays. I also shortened the PSU cover to suite.
            We Water Cool, We Mod.
            Blue Dragon CM690 II an i7 - 960 x58 build
OverKill HTPC - Red Team Build an AMD FX6100 with dual HD 5870's in crossfire.

Yes I seen that build and it's a very nice and creative build. I especially like the lights. The lighting reminds me of both a casino and of a theatre.

I am just not finding a connection with myself and the case. As I start checking out and disassembling the case I get a feel for how I want to mod it. I then stew for a couple of days and come up with some drawings. It's been a couple of days later and I've thought about how many things that Phanteks did right on the case and thought "wow, lots of cool ideas in this thing!" . I also thought it would be so easy to take the weaknesses in this case and turn them into it's strengths. In the end its about finding the right feel and fit to put a perfect computer together for the wife. I don't think this is the one for that build. I keep getting the vibe to put a EKWB PREDATOR 240mm in the top of this thing and see how one of those AIO coolers works in it.

I'm going to stew for a few more days on this computer to see what I want to do with it. Modding doesn't happen over night. For me it takes sometimes several months. In the mean time I will keep looking for that perfect case for the wife. It's kind of funny Because the cases I want the most for her build are the cases I'm scared of using the most. I would like all glass construction to show off some bling ... Glass coputer with the wife wouldn't last a day. Acrylic would be just fine. LOL

I've been watching your evolv build. That's why I came to the conclusion that it is probably a better case. I also have seen a number of cases built in the Enthoo Pro and Luxe that seem to go nice and suggest a better quality case. Both the other cases are a little bigger and have a little more modularity. Bigger also means to me a lot more options for your mods. Can't count how many times I've thought "If they would have gone just a half inch longer everything would be perfect.".
