Adding some progress to the Novel

Managed to do almost all the long runs. But going to move the top rad real soon and add a second one for the gpu loop. Temps with, the new z490 Formula are impressive. Got a recording of the Oled but can't show it here.
    idle: CPU: 27°
    VRM:32°
    Coolant:24°
And so on. Yup! I like it like that!

Ordering 12 fans + radiator + tubes and maybe a Quadro since the Octo is out of stock. As long as there is enough fans left.. or else, ima have to order directly from EKfrom only I could reserve lol... But anyways, pictures incoming!

I decided to remove the little straight run to go with this instead. I like it more and friends said they liked it too.

Haha yeah, this build has been a true adventure! I've put lot's of obstacles on my road all by myself haha. At least I'll have it built to a point it will be fonctionnal! ... If I can find a couple tubes to buy around my location lol! I'm hoping to reach phase 2 to at least start it so the nephew would have a good idea of what to do. Thanks for your comment. I'll do my best to show yall something powered on and visually appealing in the next couple weeks!

One last thing... if anyone have 14mm acrylic tubes they don't plan on using.... I'm a taker... I have 2 tubes left and seeing how I'm messing my bends lately, I won't make it... Or I'll just order them along the fans I need to get in a couple weeks... if Daz still have enough fans in store at that time... with my luck, they will be completely be out of stock I'm sure...

I might not be able to finish it before the end finally... Not looking for sympathy so don't judge me. I just came back yesterday from another hospitalization and things are getting really bad. Next time might be the last one. Even yesterday, I decided to come back home even tho the doc was saying I should stay.. Anyways, time to put the last efforts in the build!

Removed the sticker on the fan. Just a temporary solution until I get the Vardars I'm missing...

Now time to move with restarting over everything..

Received my stuff this morning. There wasn't much. Just my 6 fans and the tubes but it's enough go on ahead with the switch :-).
Special thanks to Daz for making this build possible by selling great stuff and thanks for all the help and fast order processing!
I'm not done yet! Still have to get a bunch of fans and pretty sure I'll need more tubes but one thing at a time! One or 2 months and that beast is complete.... finally. Then I'll be able to have my rest. :-)

Too bad the new fans and rads are not out yet! Click image for larger version

Very kind of you thank you! I didn't expect it but someone finally contacted me to buy 6 of the QL120 fans along with one of my commander pro. With the crazy corsair fans price, it allowed me to place an order for 6 x3m d-rgb fans to replace the ones I sold and gave me a gap to get 5 tubes and even covered shipping cost. 41cent left in my wallet hahaha!

I use 14/10mm acrylic tubes. Or 14/11mm from bitspower... no idea why they got weird ID like that.. kinda hard to come by silicon inserts of that size. Took me a while before I could find one. Got it from titanrig and took a bunch of weeks to get here just to have it break not long after grrrr. But hmm yeah, I use 14mm tubes but don't worry, I'll get them eventually

Little update... again... oh and again....

Finally got things moving a little.... Ended up trying to sell the MSI Carbon EK X on marketplace for 250$. All the person have to do is send the board to MSI in Ontario and they will redo the bios free of charge. I just don't have the strength and will to do it myself lol. Or else, I could send it and sell it 400$ total once fixed... So anyways, if anyone is interested, let me know! The monoblock can be used with the Carbon Wi-fi non EK if no need for the whole kit. Even tho I won't let it go without the board for lower than 250$. Can't find that block outside that kit.

So anyways, like I said before, I was debating between a couple boards to replace it... well, I didn't have to chose after all! someone really kind gave the z490 formula bridge for free hehe. So he decided for me!!!

Little picture of the bridge... that thing is thick and feels really premium!!!

I already have the velocity block to go with it so that's one thing done!
Only thing left to do was to get the Formula board... so here it is!!! Beautiful really! Worth it's 700$!

I just hope I'll be able to achieve the same overclock than I had with the Carbon board... Let's see, I think I had [email protected] and didn't have time to push it to the limits before the board failed lol...
So that's about it... little picture with the bridge on it. It sure will be great!

Only downside: I need tubes now!!! But after spending soo much on the board, I'm more broke than broke so it will be a while until I can move on with the build... and will missout the deal Daz has put on tubes....
That build just keep getting more and more expensive and it's a real pain to get funds since a can't work any.ore
    Life is life..... I guess....

Heh... Still no answer from Amazon... MSI accepted to repair my board. If I pay transportation and repair coat... like yeah right... bunch of loosers. Worse support I've ever seen. Luckily they have a hq planted in Ontario so I will be able to get help from customer protection office. Lots of effort but I won't give up. In the end, they will have no choices but to fund a new board and yes, I will just sell the kit back with all the extra parts EK sent me. I got a bunch of stickers and 3 tops for the monoblock. So that's one less headache for the person who will have to do the maintenance haha.

Now debating between the z490 Maximus Formula, z590 Maximus Hero and the z590 Aorus Master... the Formula have the bridge and good performances for a z490. Pretty much the same as the z590 hero. Except no gen4 but I don't care since I'm not gona put a 11th gen cpu in there. The hero is the only z590 who have a monoblock coming soo far. No monoblock for the aorus master and I don't like the look of their heatsink but 90amp 18+1 phases I believe and dual bios. Haha dual bios is what makes me want to go with it, because of the bios fail I experienced with the msi board... no idea how they managed to mess up a bios like that but anyways, I still have 10 days to wait before I can get the new one so lots of time to think and chose.

Haha just placing a little photo for the hell of it. Will never see that build with that look again... gona place the hinged doors at 180° with new tubes routing with the new board... And if the gpu blocks comes out with no blue marks, ima go clear blue and clear clear for cpu.

I suspect though most of the manufacturers have been pretty hard hit on there margins even with the price increases. So them cutting down on RMA quality is not shocking. I rather they cut down on there marketing department expenses, fancy boxes and reduce/keep prices affordable. That and stop paying/bribing youtube reviewers to review there products favourably.
